Week 1 | October 5The Wisdom in Our Bones
Rev. Dr. Ahriana Platten invites us to reflect on the spiritual and scientific connections we share with those who came before us—through both epigenetics and the living memory of the soul. Together, we’ll discover how ancestral experiences shape our lives today and how prayer and awareness can bring healing, connection, and blessing to our lineage and our hearts.
Week 2 | October 12From Their Light, We Shine
Dr. Nancy Little, LUT guides us in honoring the light of our ancestors, mentors, and spiritual teachers. We’ll explore how their wisdom continues to shine through us and how we, in turn, become light bearers for future generations, reflecting on the enduring Spirit that connects us all.
Week 3 | October 19Mother of Unity
Rev. Aliza guides us in exploring the life and spiritual lineage of Myrtle Fillmore, Unity’s co-founder. We’ll uncover little-known facts about her, examine the energies she embodied, and gain fresh insights from this deeper look at one of our spiritual ancestors.
Week 4 | October 26The Ancient and Future Voices of our Ancestors
Rev. Aliza explores how our ancestors have shaped our lives—and invites us to consider the idea of “future ancestors.”
📖 Community Cookbook
We had our Family Recipes potluck on Sunday, October 12th, but we’re still collecting recipes for our community cookbook through the end of October! Jot down the recipe via our online form or bring it Sunday to post on our Community Memory Board so we can include your favorite recipes!
Stay tuned for the release of the community cookbook in November—we’ll send it out via email and post it here as well!

As we honor the patchwork of ancestral influence that has gotten us to this present moment, we’re also celebrating our talented Sews-n-Sews group with a special raffle for a beautiful handmade quilt they’ve lovingly donated.

Share a story, song, or poem from your ancestors or your own personal history, and help us weave an evening of remembrance, creativity, and connection. Whether you perform or simply come to listen, this is a beautiful opportunity to celebrate the voices that shaped us—and the ones we’re becoming.
