For this season of Advent, Unity has provided a booklet for the season called "Be Not Afraid". Yet in times of change and challenge such as our current national climate is experiencing, many are afraid. How do we not only find the peace of the Christ child during this time, but actively Be the Peace for our world in turmoil? Together with Licensed Unity Teacher, Lesa Walker, let's talk about how our Unity teachings and the story of the coming of The Christ can aide us in "being in the world but not of it."

Hope is the first quality in our Advent season, the season of preparation. When we discover hope, we can find faith; when we have faith, we discover peace; with peace comes love, and in the fulfillment of love comes Joy! Advent season moves us along a spiritual journey, from a time of darkness into the LIGHT. Rev. Aliza joins us virtually as we activate hope for our future in the light that we already are. Celebrating 75 years as Unity Fort Worth, we look back with gratitude and forward with hope!

What do you see when you turn the mind’s eye inward upon itself rather than outward toward the world? We will explore this question through the lenses of the comparison of animal consciousness to human self-consciousness, the five essential functions of the self-system, and stage transformations in the levels of self-consciousness leading to the stage Unity refers to as Christ consciousness.

Join us as welcome back Licensed Unity Teacher David Drumm to lead us through this exploration while we enjoy wonderful music, including performances from our Unity Singers, and spend time together in fellowship.

Gratitude as a spiritual practice changes everything, from biochemistry to habituated thought patterns. Rev. Aliza joins us in person to explore how to cultivate an Attitude of Gratitude as a spiritual practice, while we enjoy uplifting music and fellowship together. 

To BEE or Not To BE, that is the question. But BE what or whom? What spiritual message can we learn from bees? Did you know that aerodynamically the body of a bee is not made to fly? Is there a hidden message for us? Perhaps! Rev. Aliza joins us virtually to explore the concepts of “busy as a bee”, single focus, closing the gap, and other insights from the life of bees.

Sometimes we can be so focused on how free and unlimited we are, we overlook the importance of limitation. It is TRUE that each of us is wondrously unlimited in our DIVINITY; however, in our humanity we are each very distinct. Rev. Ike once said, “We have to be definite with the INFINITE.” In fact, that is how all manifestation and demonstration happen. Together with Rev. Dr. Paul Hasselbeck, we explore this topic while we enjoy heartfelt music and friendly fellowship.

Happy Halloween Weekend! This is the Sunday that we invite everyone to come in costume! Our transitional minister, Rev. Aliza Bloom Robinson, is joining us virtually to explore the masks we wear, both for Halloween and in our everyday lives. We will learn to identify that we actually are masked, why we do it, and how to remove the masks to tune into our biggest, boldest, most brilliant becomingness.

All of us face times when we feel alone. We may be depressed about our life situation, facing a crisis, or making important decisions. At these times we can discover that we are really never alone. Rev. Ellen Davis will be sharing insights taken from real life experiences including her own, which illustrate that spiritual help and guidance is always available. Join us for an insightful message, beautiful music, and fellowship with friends.

Science says we hold the epigenetic signatures of 11 generations within us. Spirituality says we are all one and can never be separated. It’s the season of the ancestors when “the veils are thin between the worlds.”  What does that mean and why do we honor the ancestors—or even simply remember them?  We’ll explore our oneness in an unusual way this Sunday as we enjoy heartfelt music and time spent together along with guest speaker, Rev. Dr. Ahriana Platten.

We all know and have the experience of being focused and in a flow state. What is focus and how do we cultivate or bring focus to a mind that may be loopy or chaotic? Discover focus as a spiritual principle and how to consciously activate it to increase the flow around you. Join us for an enlightening and empowering message, uplifting music from our music team and Unity Singers, and wonderful time spent together as we celebrate Rodney Huddleston Appreciation Day at UFW!

What is the intersection of hope and optimism? We call it Hopetimism. Rev. Aliza will join us virtually for an exploration of both hope and optimism, and the spiritual principles and keys to living your best life ever.

We are together forever even after the breath leaves the body. You are invited to suspend your judgment about death and near death experiences (NDEs), while we look at examples in which death is proven to be an illusion, and what, if anything, Jesus said about death. Licensed Unity Teacher Gretchel Johnson believes we really do transition from one life experience to another and can hardly wait to tell you why!

It is often assumed that the way to take the Bible seriously is to take it literally. This talk will challenge that assumption and show how a literal approach to Bible interpretation and a science-based rejection of the Bible have in common a shared assumption that the legitimate function of spiritual literature is to accurately report on facts. We will present as an alternative to those approaches a historical/metaphorical approach to Bible interpretation which emphasizes the way we make meaning out of our life experiences from the standpoints of both the authors and readers of the text. Join us as we explore this topic with Licensed Unity Teacher, David Drumm, while enjoying beautiful music and cherished time together as a community.

Following the telling of our stories during our Sacred Listening Circles workshop on Saturday, August 17th, Rev. Aliza (live and in person!) will share a simple, yet profound way to identify the stories that hold us hostage and how to shift them to a more empowered awareness.
