Ellen has owned and operated two bookstores which were holistically oriented and which reflected her love of spirituality, respect for the care of the earth, Native cultures, herbology, aromatherapy, alterative healing, nature and mankind’s search for the truth.

Ellen’s spiritual quests have led to trips to sacred spaces which included a trip to the Hopi Reservation in Arizona in 1984 which directly resulted in a 3 week trip to Peru (1986) where she explored the ancient spiritual sites in the jungles, mountains and plains.

She and her late husband, Dean who was an ordained Unity minister, have given many work- shops and lectures at churches, bookstores and civic groups on the near death experience which Dean experienced, the importance of dreams, and meditation.
