Annual Membership Meeting Update
Dear Congregants,
As our Annual Membership Meeting (AMM) comes closer, preparations are well on their way.
Updates
Thus far we have:
encouraged the renewal of membership for eligibility to participate and vote in the AMM,
sent out invitations to active members, requesting RSVP’s to the AMM,
initiated the registration process by sending out the registration link and registering those that already RSVP’d, and
updated our website with the latest information regarding the registration and participation process.
If you are an active member and have not yet registered to the AMM, please do so now. If you need any assistance or have questions about how to join individually with the unique link provided, please contact our office.
Bylaw Reviews
We also have successfully completed our bylaw reviews on the Sundays of February 28 and March 7. Questions and concerns have been discussed and addressed, and the UFW Bylaw Committee and Board of Trustees decided to move forward with the bylaws presented in the membership package for membership approval. We affirm a smooth transition to the new bylaws with the support of our membership.
Preparations
The AMM has been on the agenda and in discussions with the UFW Board of Trustees for many months, and we are looking forward to March 21 to complete this very first completely virtual, post-pandemic AMM. More meetings with the board and staff will follow in preparation for the AMM to ensure that things run smoothly. And, with the support of our membership equally preparing themselves by registering and making sure they have their unique link ready to connect, we will have a successful AMM and confidently move into the bright future that lies ahead of our community.
Let us affirm together:
“As we come together as one community and prepare ourselves for this important meeting, we behold the Christ in ourselves and each other and release any power we give to the limitations we may put on ourselves. We become active as we prepare for this meeting, tackling the technological challenges and asking for help when needed. Courageously, we take the steps to engage in our right as active members to participate and vote on the future of Unity Fort Worth. And, as we see the Christ Light shine in all of us, we affirm that we are doing our part to support its brightness. And so it is. Amen.”
With much Gratitude to this process and opportunity,
Rev. Jean-Marie Schweizer
Senior Minister Unity Fort Worth
