Zeal

Today’s Daily Word is “Invigorate,” a form of doing something with Zeal.

Zeal is another of Unity’s 12 Powers and as such an important one. The Power of Zeal is our ability to be enthusiastic, be passionate, but also to motivate and to start. We use our Power of Zeal to start moving into the direction of our choosing. Our passion and enthusiasm fuels our motivation so that we gather up the power and strength we require to engage in a new beginning.

According to legend, Charles Fillmore used to say the following words before leaving his house every morning:

“I fairly sizzle with zeal and enthusiasm and spring forth with a mighty faith to do the things that ought to be done by me.”

This powerful affirmation resonates with our Power of Zeal and enlivens our passion for what we are truly about. Whether or not we know what it is that ought to be done by us, having faith that with right attention we will guide ourselves along the right path is a key element to our Wholeness. Sometimes, we may limit ourselves with darkness, failing to see the light. Yet, we are still capable to faith our way towards our true Selves. In Silence we rest during our meditations. Our prayers affirm who and what we are as we claim our Divinity. And with Zeal we confidently walk the path that lies before us and start the journey to our innermost depth anew.

Maybe today you find your place of Joy and Enthusiasm. What excites you? What is truly resonating with you? As you start on your new path towards Self-Realization, do so with Passion as it fuels your motivation. Is there anything more exciting than to get to know more of who or what you are? Feel that enthusiasm for knowing more as you open up to a greater Understanding. Life is meant to be lived in Joy and with Zeal. And you are in charge of that happening.

And so it is. Amen.
